Medical Transcription Practice|MRI Spine Finding Practice|PART 2
There is aligning of cervical and dorsal spinal column.
Degenerative modifications are seen in the type of osteophytes at numerous cervical and dorsal vertebral levels– modic modifications and disc degenerative modifications.
Post personnel modifications seen in cervical spinal column in the type of non visualization of posterior components of C2, C3, C4 vertebral body.
There is scattered thickening of posterior longitudinal ligament from C2 to C7 vertebral body which alongwith posterior bulging disc is triggering effacement of anterior epidural area and triggering compression on underlying thecal sac causing compression of C5- C6 and C6-C7 level.
AP canal size at C5-C6 level steps 9.3 mm & at C6-C7 level determines 7.8 mm.
An intramedullary T2W/STIR hyperintensity seen including cervical cable behind C3 and C4 level measuring 13 mm in length– suggestive of myelomalacia due to sequelae of compressive myelopathy.
Grade I retrolisthesis of C3 over C4 level.
Posterior disc herniation seen at D3-D4, D4-D5 and D5-D6 level triggering thecal sac imprint.
