COVID vaccines are becoming available to NBA players and staff however not everyone is open to it. Kent Bazemore is the second Warriors’ gamer to say he’s out.

The rollout of COVID vaccines is continuing to accelerate and it’s beginning to become available to NBA players and team staff, depending on the specific standards in their states. Gamers and staff from the New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta Hawks and Portland Path Sports jackets have already gotten the vaccine and the Lakers’ will reportedly begin getting doses this week.

However not everybody is thrilled about the chance. A number of players have actually revealed hesitancy about getting vaccinated. Earlier today Andrew Wiggins stated he didn’t expect to take the vaccine anytime quickly and today Kent Bazemore made it clear he’s not interested either.

Kent Bazemore states he will not be getting any of the COVID-19 vaccines: ‘No sir.’

What happens if Kent Bazemore and other Warriors’ players refuse the vaccine?

The NBA is unable to mandate vaccinations for players and any player who doesn’t receive a vaccine would continue to operate under the very same health and safety procedures that have covered the remainder of the season. However according to Bullets Forever, there are some substantial individual and cumulative advantages for groups who can get more than 85 percent of their roster immunized:

” One of them is that teams won’t need to wear face masks indoors provided that a person is completely immunized and at least 85 percent of group staff and gamers are as well. They would also be able to go to dining establishments again and not be under quarantine if they are noted as a “close contact” for a positive coronavirus case.”

While groups and the league can’t mandate the vaccine, it will be interesting to see if there is any peer pressure at play from their own teammates. Life would be a lot easier for the remainder of the Warriors if Wiggins and Bazemore get their shots.
