Yes, you can have another person pick your medication up at the pharmacy. It does not matter whether they are 18 years old or not either. This was the case when I worked in a Texas pharmacy for like 15 years. The only time you MIGHT experience difficulty would be if it was for a controlled substance (hydrocodone, xanax, valium), especially if it is kept under lock and key (for example adderall, ritalin, oxycontin, fentanyl, morphine, dilaudid). Different states can have different laws regarding the pick up of controlled substances, too. If you are able to read the name of the drug on the paper script you can google it to see what that particular states laws may be or whether it is a controlled substance (these are the meds people often call narcotics, they are actually different but thats going deeper than you need here). It could take some time locating the DEA’s laws and regulations too. Calling the pharmacy to inquire may save you time.
