I’m not sure one can maintain a 3.7 gpa with 4 C grades, especially even a 3.5 gpa in science with C grades in science prerequisites. But if you can mathematically manage that by taking many courses with A grades, sure it is Acceptable. Competitive is a different concept altogether, and involves those students with 3 7 science gpa and overall higher. Med schools would prefer you overcame a bad start rather than one being a poor finisher.
